Type locality: Gabo I., Victoria, Australia; (Womersley 1996: 78) Holotype (cystocarpic): S.A.Shepherd; 17 February 1973; 18 m deep; AD; A43500 (Womersley 1996: 78) Notes: Womersley (1996: 78) notes that the syntype from Gabo I., Victoria, collected at 13 m depth, by Shepherd (14 February 1973) and located in AD, A43332, is tetrasporangial and cystocarpic.
