Distributional note
Fuettererella was believed to have no extant species but the presence of Fuetererella cf. tesserula in modern sediments of the Mediterranean sea would redefine the stratigraphic range of the species as well as the genus (Meier et al. 2002). - (13 April 2012) - G.M. Guiry
