Lectotype locality: Rottnest Island, Western Australia (Silva & al. 1996: 418). Lectotype: Harvey; Herb. Harvey, TCD Trav. Set 344 Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Baldock (1976: 561).

Adjective (Latin), south, southern (Stearn 1985).
