This is a marine species.
Type locality: Fremantle, Western Australia (32o03’S, 115o44’E) (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 455). Type: on Amphibolis antarctica (Labillardiere) Sonder & Ascherson ex Ascherson. TCD, Herbarium Harvey Travelling Set No. 129 (Fig. 1) with isotype (Fig. 2) (Millar & Huisman 1996: 128). Notes: According to Womersley (2003: 32) the holotype was collected by Clifton.
