Type locality: "Ubatuba, Brazil"; (Gómez & al. 2015: 6) Notes: "Holotype. Fig. 2A collected by F. Gómez. SEM stub #410, Type Collection of Dinoflagellates,
National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. The culture strain is barcoded
in GenBank by the following SSU 11699, D1D4 LSU 21393450 rDNA, and ITS
17002138 sequences (#KM886379). Isolate obtained as epiphyte on macroalgae at <1 m
depth during the low tide at Ubatuba, Brazil."
