Type locality: South of False Bay, San Juan Island, Washington, (Dawson 1961: 221). Type: In the upper part of the sublittoral. (Dawson 1961: 220). Notes: Not designated but probably represented by a tetrasporiangial collection in H. Kylin at the Herbarium of Lund University.
