Type locality: Japan; (Nakada & Nozaki 2015: 25) Notes: "Typus. Specimen TNS-AL-58902 (holotype; Fig. 4) conserved at TNS (National Museum of Nature and Science, Tsukuba, Japan); permanent preparations of vegetative cells were derived from culture strain NIES-447."
