Type locality: Japan; (Nakada et al. 2016: 299) Holotype: Permanently cryopreserved strain NIES 50010: 2004; (Nakada et al. 2016: 299, table 1) Notes: Paratype: Specimen TNS-AL-58916; permanent preparation of vegetative cells derived from culture strain EbCl-16 (= NIES-3707= NIES-50010; a paddy field, Kawaraguchi, Ebina-shi, Kanagawa, Japan (35°27'N, 139°23'E).
