Type locality: "Euganean Thermal District, Montegrotto Terme, Padova, Italy (45 19 N, 11 46 E)."; (Sciuto & Moro 2016: 33) Holotype: PAD; A000626 (Sciuto & Moro 2016: 33) Notes: Holotype: resin-embedded sample of strain ETS-08 deposited at PAD (A000626). Living cultures: active cultures of the type strain, from which the holotype was derived, are available at the Culture Collection of Autotrophic Organisms (CCALA), under code CCALA 10257, and at the Culture Collection of Algae at Göttingen University (SAG), under code SAG 2016.001
