Adjective (Latin), broad-leaved (Stearn 1973).

Yoshida (1998: 293) gives this entity as a synonym of Punctaria latifolia Greville but lists Homoeostroma latifolium Okamura as "sensu" Okamura (1916: 8, pl. 153), which as it is the original description, must therefore be a synonym. It is possible that Yoshida wished to indicate that he had not seen the original material. - (23 Nov 2016) - M.D. Guiry
