The type species (holotype) of the genus Kurtkrammeria is Kurtkrammeria weilandii (Bahls) Bahls.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Gomphonema eileencoxiae (Bahls) Bahls, C.E.Wetzel & Ector.
