Type locality: "Le gisement est situé sur la rive occidentale du Rio Uxpanapa, en amont du Poblado Catorce"; (Granier & Michaud 1987: 1094) Notes: "Holotype. Section oblique d'un thalle fortement calcifié (pl. I : fig. J). L'holotypc se trouve dans la lame MX 85-752, déposée sous le n° FSL 411.422 à l'Office National de Gestion des Collections Paléontologiques (ONGCP), Université Claude Bernard, Villeurbanne, F69622."
