Holotype locality: Jumunjin, Gangneung (Gangwon-do, Korea; 37°54'21.80'N, 128°49'49.77") (Kim et al. 2018: 60). Holotype (gametophyte): S.M. Kim; March 20, 2004 ; NIBR, Incheon, Korea NIBRRD0000003217 (SM018) (Kim et al. 2018: 60). Notes: Isotype: NIBRRD0000003218 (SM018-1).

Blade phase is epilithic, in exposed intertidal areas, splashed intermittenly by waves. Gametophyte can form dense populations soley or intermixed with P. pseudolinearis (Kim et al., 2018). - (27 Apr 2018) - Wendy Guiry
