Holotype locality: Southwest Ledge, Onslow Bay, North Carolina (34°23.576'N, 76°53.924'W) (Richards et al. 2018: 323). Holotype: D.W. Freshwater & R. Muñoz; 08.ix.2010; epizoic, 27-28 m deep. NCU 593934 (Richards et al. 2018: 323).
