The type species (holotype) of the genus Myriogramme is Myriogramme livida (Hooker f. & Harvey) Kylin.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Myriogramme caespitosa E.Y.Dawson.
Type Information
Type locality: northeast side of Isla Patos, Sonora, México; (Dawson 1962: 96) Holotype: Dawson (766); 18 February, 1946; intertidal rock crannies; UC; AHFH(5349) in UC(1883883) (Dawson 1962: 96) Notes: Dawson mentioned (1950, p. 158) his collection Dawson (737) as the type, but in UC that sheet is labeled as isotype. The holotype has the number Dawson 766.
