Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Paludistella is Paludistella meslinii (Bourrelly) H.Susanti, Mas.T.Yoshida, Nakayama, Nakada & M.M.Watanabe.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Ostravamonas trianguloculus (Susanti, Mas.T.Yoshida, T.Nakayama, Nakada & M.M.Watanabe) Nakada & Susanti.

Type locality: "Ikenotaira marsh, Nagano, Japan (36°24' 30.6"N 138°26'04.9"E)"; (Susanti & al. 2020: 67) Holotype: NIES; 4318 (Susanti & al. 2020) Notes: "The NIES-4318 and the paratype NIES-4317 were permanently cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen at Microbial Culture Collection NIES, Japan. The isotype NIES-4318 and the paratype NIES-4317 were conserved as TNS-AL-58966 and TNS-AL- 58965 respectively."
