Nomenclatural note
"The name Dolium Larsen and Patterson is a junior homonym of Dolium Linnaeus (a mollusc). A change is, at this time, required by the rules of the [CZN. This would lead to different names under the Botanical and Zoological codes of nomenclature. Consequently, we choose not to introduce a new name, now holding the view that the context of the application of names of protists that are homonymous with those of plants or animals renders their meaning unambiguous [36] and thereby promotes stability."
