Type locality: "Cap, gefunden von Drège" [supposedly Cape of Good Hope, South Africa but actually Omtendo (Umtentu, Port St. Johns), Transkei, South Africa]; (Suhr 1840: 258) Notes: See Drège (1843: 154).
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), serrated, saw-edged with teeth pointing forwards (Stearn 1973).
