The type species (lectotype) of the genus Euhymenia is Euhymenia reniformis (Turner) Kützing.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Cryptonemia limensis (Kützing) J.A.Lewis.
Type Information
Type locality: Callao, near Lima, Peru; Notes: Type: MEL 685050 (fide J.A. Lewis, Taxon 39: 99, fig. 1. 1990). According to Kützing he examined material in herb. Binder, collector unknown.
