Distributional note
Tseng & Lu (1988: 28) note that although no plant of the Hong Kong assemblage seems to agree very closely with aemulum Sonder (in strictly typical form), one scrappy specimen, intermingled with other zygocarpic forms, collected at West Point, Victoria, Hong Kong Island, by G.A.C. Herklots in March 1930, seems to stand apart and to answer fairly well to the description of the "var? carpophylloides Grun." of his S. aemulum. - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
