Type locality: Tierra del Fue [Tierra del Fuego], Chile or Argentina (Woelkerling 1998: 307). Holotype: Hariot; 1883; PC no. 52c, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym), includes one unnumbered slide prepared by Woelkerling (Woelkerling 1998: 307). Notes: Holotype fragments: TRH A18-1184; Hariot no. 52c, includes slide 671.
