Corallina pusilla Sonder

Type Information
Type locality: Port Fairy, Victoria, Australia; (Womersley & Johansen 1996: 307) Lectotype: Harvey 452D; Epiphytic on Cystophora siliquosa; MEL; 501722 (Ducker, LeBlanc & Johansen 1976: 6) Notes: Silva et al. (1996: 243) cite syntype localities: Port Fairy and Port Phillip. Womersley & Johansen (1966: 307) give the folowing data: type from Port Fairy, Vic., on Cystophora (Harvey, Alg. Aust. exsicc. 452); holotype (or lectotype) in TCD. They note that Ducker et al. (1976: 6) selected a MEL (501722) specimen of Harvey's 452 as lectotype, but consider it would be a more usual practice to regard the holotype (or lectotype if necessary) to be in the Harvey herbarium in TCD. However, others consider that as Sonder described the entity, it seems more appropriate to choose a lectotype from his materials.

Common on species of Cystophora (especially C. subfarcinata) in shallow water on rough-water coasts (Womersley & Johansen 1996: 309).
