Type locality: Skørpen, Norway (Woelkerling 1998: 342). Holotype: M. Foslie; 8.ix.1890; TRH unnumbered, includes slides 92 and 93 and one unnumbered slide (Woelkerling 1998: 342). Notes: Isotypes: PC, Foslie, no. 14, Thuret-Bornet Herbarium (box collection, filed under Lithothamnion divergens); BM, algal box collection 419.
