Type locality: Tusteren [now Tustna], north of Kristiansund, Norway (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 428). Holotype: M. Foslie; 10.viii.1898; collection depth: 3-4 fathoms. TRH C9-3089, includes slides 309, 310 and 1644 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 427). Notes: Isotypes: PC, unnumbered, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym); BM, algal box collection 722.
