Womersley & Lewis (1994: 181) note that this species lacks some of the characters often used to define the genus and further studies are warranted but, in the interim, the broader concept of Cryptonemia is accepted and C. wilsonii is retained in this genus and not in Blastophye. - (10 June 2009) - G.M.
