Type locality: Ad Tasmaniam et oras australes Novae Hollandiae (Port Phillip, Encounter Bay); (Agardh 1890: 14) Notes: According to Womersley & Lewis (1994: 211), the type is from Puebla Bay (NE of Torquay), Victoria (Wilson 101, 18.ix.1886; in Herb Agardh, LD, 22427).
