Type locality: Islas San Benito, Baja California, Mexico (Dawson 1962: 93). Type: Neushul; 13 August 1957; Herb. Beaudette Foundation Dawson 20292a (Dawson 1962: 93). Notes: Dawson (1962: 93) notes that the type specimen was collected at a depth of 60-75 ft.
