Habitat note
Epiphytic on marine-sheathed blue-green algae and various eukaryotic algae (Whitton in John et al. 2002). Whitton notes that Frémy (1929-33) states especially in salt marshes, but Komárek & Agnagnostidis (1999) state probably only on (in vicinity of) calcareous rocks of the littoral zone. - (04 July 2012) - G.M.
