Holotype locality: Middle Bank, Pinang, Malaysia (Xia & Abbott 1987: 414). Holotype (cystocarpic): 4 July 1984; growing on lines at pilot farm (algal). BISH Doty #32423 (Xia & Abbott 1987: 414). Notes: Isotyopes at AST and BISH.
