Type locality: Shangchuan Island, Guangdong, China (Tseng & Lu Baoren 1992: 22). Notes: Tseng & Lu (1992: 22) give the following data: growing on the middle intertidal region and deep rock pools; in December (AST 55-3641, 55 3642) and February (AST 55-1063).
