Taxonomic note
Dalen and Saunders (2007: 198) note that they have studied South African specimens traditionally assigned to 'L. anastomosans' sensu R.E. Norris & Aken (a specific epithet correctly assigned to Australian and Indonesian specimens referable to the genus Asteromenia) and conclude that they are not representative of Leptofauchea. They acknowledge 'L. anastomosans' sensu Huisman but had insufficient material to describe adequately this entity. - (08 October 2007) - G.M. Guiry
Distributional note
According to Huisman (2000) this species is probably distributed around northern Australia. - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
