Type locality: "Hab.: Suno, Amami Island. Growing at the depth of about 10 m. Collected on August 30, 1967. no. 197112 [sic]." [Suno, O-shima, Amani-gunto, Japan] (Itono 1971: 232). Holotype: HI 197112 (Itono 1971: 232).
