Type locality: Ghyll Head Reservoir, Westmorland (September 1963) (Belcher 1964: 309). Holotype: Belcher (1964), fig. 1c, d: Permanently cryopreseved strain NIES-50013 (epitype) (Nakada et al. 2016: 300).
