Type locality: Sri Lanka (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 505). Notes: Wynne et al. ( 2005: 499) note that there are isotypes: Harvey's Ceylon Algae, No 17 (in Herbarium Thuret held in PC unnumbered sheet); Harveys's Ceylon Algae, No 17 (MICH).
