Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Rhodymenia is Rhodymenia palmetta (Stackhouse) Greville.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Halopeltis adnata (Okamura) G.W.Saunders & C.W.Schneider.
