Type locality: "Isolated from the Helford River, Cornwall, in 1947."; (Butcher 1952: 184) Notes: Isolated as "Flagellellate I" by Parke from sea water from one of the fish-ponds at the Marine Biological Station, Port Erin [Isle of Man, England], in January 1938, according to some authors.
