Nomenclatural note
"C. arcuata Børgesen var. algeriensis Schotter. This variety was described by Schotter (1951: 291) from Algeria. Womersley & Shepley (1959: 200) considered it a variety of C. filamentosa and proposed the new combination C. fi-lamentosa var. algeriensis (Schotter) Womer-sley et Shepley comb. inval., because they didn%u2019t provide a complete bibliographic reference of the basionym. Subsequently, Cormaci & Furnari (1987b: 756) validly proposed the new combination C. filamentosa var. algeriensis (Schotter) Cormaci et Furnari."
