This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Porolithon improcerum (Foslie & M.Howe) M.Howe.

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
On Botryocladia, Cladostephus, Caulocystis sp., and Dictyota sp.; also on rock (Womersley 1996: 259).

Taxonomic note
