This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Trachelomonas formosa (Skvortsov) Deflandre.

Type locality: "Verbreitung: Bislang nur aus Nordmandschurei, in Sümpfen". [Distribution: So far only from North Manchuria, in swamps.]; (Skvortsov 1925: 51)
