Nomenclatural note
Comaci, Furnari & Alongi (2021: 118) write 'Halymenia cervicornis curvicornis J. Agardh. This species was described by J. Agardh (1842: 97) from the island of Château d'If (Marseille, France) with the specific epithet curvicornis later corrected by Endlicher (1843: 40) in 'cervicornis', as pointed out by Silva in INA. Afterwards, accepting the orthographic correction made by Endlicher (op. cit.) the same J. Agardh (1851: 167) transferred it to the genus Nemastoma as N. cervicorne "cervicornis" (J. Agardh) J. Agardh.' - (12 August 2021) - M.D. Guiry
