Type locality: Bahía Utria, Chocó, Columbia (Taylor 1945: 206). Type: W.R. Taylor no. 34-510A; 14 February 1934; AHF Taylor 34-501A (Taylor 1945: 206). Notes: Type (sterile and cystocarpic) dredged at 37 metres’ depth.
