Skaloud et al. (2018: 244) comment, "This species was described as a freshwater alga growing on stems and leaves of plants in a lake in Bohemia. The freshwater nature suggests that most probably this alga does not belong to the Trentepohliales." - (22 March 2018) - M.D. Guiry
