Type locality: Lake Wolschauer near Prague (Calado & Moestrup: 112). Lectotype: Freshwater. (Calado & Moestrup: 113). Notes: Lectotype: figure 21 in Stein's (1883) pl. 17 is designated as the lectotype.

Adjective (Latin), inhabiting lakes (Stearn 1985).
