Nomenclatural note
"... from the illustration given by Kützing (1862, pl. 9 a,b),Phlebothamnion corymbiferum is clearly a Callithamnion. Therefore it can't be considered as a synonym of Dasya corymbifera (as erroneously made by Furnari & al., 1999: 29). Phlebothamnion corymbiferum Kützing and Callithamnion corymbiferum (Kützing) Trevisan should be considered as a synonyms of Callithamnion corymbosum (J.E. Smith) Lyngbye as made by Hauck (1882: 85) and Ardissone (1883: 70, as C. corymbosum var. corymbiferum (Kützing) Ardissone)." (Furnari pers. comm). - (01 June 2022) - M.D. Guiry
