"Emended diagnosis: Characters of the genus. Flagellumincluding hair point approximately 2.5 m in length. Nucleargenome comprising 17 chromosomes. In ITS2 of the nuclear-encoded rRNA operon, base pair 14 of Helix 2 is A-U insteadof G-C, and base pair 4 of Helix 4 is U-G instead of C-G.Worldwide distribution, often with high abundance."
