Nomenclatural notes
S. hantzschia f. parva Grunow ex Cleve & Möller 1879 (INA). - (30 March 2016) - G.M. Guiry
According to Håkansson (2002, synonyms of this species include S. hantzschii var. pusilla Grunow in Cleve & Grunow 1880, S. hantzscia f. parvus Grunow ex Cleve & Möller 1879 and S. pusillus (Grunow) Krieger1927. She notes that some authors (e.g. Kobayasi et al., 1985) consider S. parvus to be synonymous with S. minutulus. However, she appears to consider these two species to be separate entities but lists the above synonyms as synonyms of S. minutulus. - (31 March 2016) - G.M. Guiry
