Taxonomic note
Garbary (1987: 125) records this as a synonym of Audouinella naumannii. John et al. (2004) cite Audouinella naumannii (Askenasy) J.H. Price and Chantransia naumannii Askenasy as synonyms of this species. They also note that Stegenga (pers. comm.) has suggested that this species may be referable to the genus Colaconema. - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
