Nomenclatural note
Although Denizot (1968: 186) mentions the name "Delesseria squamariae" and credits the name to Meneghini (1840) "non vu". He may have been citing Kützing (1845: 334) who lists this name in the synonymy of Rhizophyllis squamariae. The binomial used by Meneghini (1840) was Wormskioldia squamariae - (03 May 2009) - M.D. Guiry
