Taxonomic note
According to Woelkerling (1973: 94) this species is a synonym of Audouinella secundata [=Acrochaetium secundatum, as Colaconema secundata (Lyngbye) Woelkerling]. On the other hand, Borsje (1973), on germinating tetraspores of an entity similar to this species in culture, obtained gametangial plants answering descriptions of Acrochaetium parvulum (Lyngbye) Naëgeli. - (11 May 2006) - G.M.
