The type species (holotype) of the genus Parviphycus is Parviphycus adnatus (E.Y.Dawson) Santelices.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Millerella felicinii (C.Perrone & C.I.Delle Foglie) G.H.Boo.
